The course can be used as part of a company induction process. It can also be used to aid in preparation for the level 1 award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.

Exam Instructions

Your exam timer will start when you press the Open button and complete the equipment check. Please read these instructions before you start and have your photo ID ready.

1. When you are asked to provide your ID please photograph the front and back of the ID where possible.
2. You need a steady internet connection (Wi-Fi or hard wired connection will be required for streaming) with a recommended upload speed of 5mb/sec and a minimum speed of 1.5mb/sec.
3. No other person in the room at any time. (If you need someone to help you set up the exam they must leave the room before clicking the share button when requested)
4. No talking or reading questions out loud to yourself or voices in the background.
5. Your entire face must be in clear view of the camera at all times, you cannot leave the camera at any point.
6. No external devices can be used, this includes mobiles, tablets, tv, radios or other electronic devices.
7. No headphones (if your microphone is part of your headphones please take them off and leave them on your desk)
8. No other tabs open on the computer, (you cannot use a language translator).
9. No written notes
10. No Eating, Drinking
11. No Smoking or Vaping

Note: The Safari web browser does not currently support screen sharing. Please do not use it to take the exam. If you do, the exam will be failed and you will have to re-sit it.

System Requirements

• An in date photo ID which must also show the candidates date of birth.
• A windows or mac computer (it will not work on mobiles, tablets or Chrome Books)
• A modern web browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox. It will not work with Internet Explorer, the old version of Microsoft Edge or Safari.
• Video: Up to date video drivers
• Memory: 1Gb+ RAM
• Download Speed: Broadband (3Mb+)

• A working web camera.
• A working microphone. (if they have a microphone built into a headset or earphones they must take them off and leave them on the table)
• When web cam and screen share access is requested and they must accept it. (this may also need to be enabled within their operating systems settings or browser settings first)
• All other software and browser tabs must also be closed.
